May 24, 2023The Jets’ newest quarterback, the 39-year old Aaron Rodgers, opted out of practice drills on the second day of Phase 3 OTAs, due to having a strained calf. Nonetheless, Rodgers remained on the field for the full duration of practice and was seen offering advice to his fellow signal callers.

On a positive note, the team recently posted a video clip of Aaron Rodgers in action during a practice session, showcasing his quickness and scoring abilities. This is impressive since Rodgers missed last year’s offseason workouts with the Green Bay Packers. It’s a promising sign that he’s showing such a strong commitment to his new team in New York.
Considering Rodgers’ experience and strong performance potential leading the offense, it’s essential that he remains injury-free during this crucial acclimation period. The Jets will need to rely on Nathaniel Hackett’s Rodgers-led offense in peak form as they open up against challenging opponents during the first six games of the upcoming season.
In other news, head coach Robert Saleh announced that Breece Hall and Mekhi Becton would not participate in upcoming practices as they recover from knee surgeries. Additionally, Alijah Vera-Tucker, who underwent offseason pectoral surgery, is expected to be present for practice as Saleh confirmed.
