Al Woods Joins The Jets
May 3, 2023Rodgers Wish List A “Silly Narrative”
May 6, 2023Aaron Rodgers has quickly become a beloved figure in New York, anticipated to lead the Jets to success. Despite his disclaimer at the introductory press conference, everything the organization has done, from hiring Nathaniel Hackett, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, to wooing him openly and burning a viral cheesehead, mandates Rodgers is the jets savior, and must be.
Rodgers has taken head coach Robert Saleh’s “positive vibes only” mantra to a whole other level and has embraced New York every bit as much as New York has embraced him. The younger Jets speak with reverence about him, with Quincy Williams stating he was “starstruck” at first. Nonetheless, they are excited to work with him to get him more opportunities to throw the ball.
I just LOVE how much Aaron Rodgers has been around during #Jets voluntary workouts since he’s signed 🙏🏻

Jets Savior “Built For This”
The narrative that Rodgers might buckle under the New York spotlight has so far been intercepted. He has come off as comfortable in his own skin, perhaps more than he has ever been. Over dinner, Rodgers reassured his team: “I’m built for this.”
Expectations are now sky-high, with Rodgers already wowing crowds at Rangers and Knicks playoffs games and planning further appearances at Mets and Yankees games. Wilson even had the opportunity to dine with Rodgers at Carbone, an experience he will tell his kids about for years to come.
If Rodgers truly is built for this, 20 or 30 years from now, Garrett Wilson may even be able to tell his kids: “I won a Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers.”
