May 5, 2023The New York Jets continued to make additions to their roster this week and bolstered both their offensive and defensive lines. After already signing tackle Billy Turner, the Jets are now reportedly adding defensive tackle Al Woods to their 90-man roster.
Woods has been a productive player over the last two seasons, starting 30 games and recording 89 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and four passes defensed. Although he began his career with the New Orleans Saints, he did not make his debut until later that season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In addition to the Seahawks, he has played for the Steelers, Titans, and Colts throughout his career.

Al Woods spent the 2019 season with the Seahawks before opting out of the 2020 season with the Jaguars due to COVID concerns. He returned to the Seahawks in 2021, but will now join the Jets for the upcoming season.
This move gives the Jets added depth and experience to their defensive line, which should help them compete in a challenging division.
